Bio

Jake has been working in the industry for over 10 years now. He founded the well renowned RMA Sports Injury Clinic on the Isle of Wight back in 2014 - a thriving clinic with a fantastic team of clinicians.

Throughout Jake’s career to date, his love of movement and mechanics have lead him to naturally gravitate to specialising in not just injuries, but to also work with those looking to fulfil their athletic potential. Jake’s primary role within the Sports Performance Centre is to provide and oversee our S&C and youth programming, workshops, team testing and group analysis. From a practical point of view, when there has been an injury, or an athlete is susceptible to re-occurring issues, or something has been highlighted within our analysis sessions, Jake’s the coach who will delve deep into why these issues are occurring, making sure that you are heading to optimal performance with 100% confidence that a long term injury prevention plan in place.

Jake set up the Sports Performance Centre as it’s a pure passion to provide something on the Isle of Wight that is so deeply needed. There’s many talented athletes on the Island of all ages that could really excel with our help, but also many kids who just don’t have the opportunity. ‘I’m really pleased that we could come together to create such a bespoke, passionate centre for individuals and teams to thrive’. Jake is a keen sportsman himself, he played football for Portsmouth Academy in his youth, before turning to competitive running and most recently triathlon where he completed the Barcelona Ironman in October 2023. It’s fair to say that Jake loves to play all sport, which really helps when it comes to sports specific analysis.
